Espen Brunborg is a Norwegian designer who lives and works in Edinburgh at digital design agency Primate. He did this brilliant talk at the Beyond Tellerrand conference in Düsseldorf. During the lunch break we recorded this episode of The Good, The Bad, and The Interesting in English. That’s so international!
Your worst possible combination is a Photoshop designer and a front end developer who is super comfortable with Bootstrap or 960 grid or something like that
Espen’s talk was about adding an extra layer of humour, of delight, of individuality, of artistry to the obvious layers of things like speed, universality, user-centric design, and scientific research methods. He thinks that things are lacking here. All websites look the same nowadays, and the default template we chose to use for these sites turned out to be pretty boring.
