Sean Robertson joins for our final hour at Colonial Downs for the season. The guys look back and give their takeaways for the Spiders in their hard-fought loss at Virginia. At the bottom of the hour Tim Thomas joins.

A win for the Hokies was Tim's minimum expectation Friday night. That, as we now know, did not happen. So what positives can fans take from Game 1 and what does the future hold for this team?

It was an eventful weekend for the state schools, headlined by the Friday matchup between the Hokies and Monarchs. Bob looks back at that contest as well as the other state matchup between UVA and Richmond. Then it's onto JMU and William & Mary's impressive victories. Virginia Tech did what they're becoming well known for. Meanwhile Old Dominion continued their ascension. UVA didn't show Matt much against Richmond. JMU looks like they belong in the FBS. Plus, William & Mary pulled the first FCS over FBS upset of the year. Mike Barber of RTD Sports joins at the bottom of the hour to talk Tech & UVA.

Mike talks the panic level in Blacksburg after ODU took down the Hokies in Norfolk, again. Mike isn't over confident in the Hokies this Saturday, but he still believes this defense can carry them to a solid season. He also talks about UVA's workmanlike showing against Richmond. Like Matt, Mike isn't thrilled about the punishment Quarterback Brenan Armstrong took Saturday.
