This is a short story I wrote sometime last year. It was for an exercise in my MA counseling class where you write a trauma-related situation, but write it so that you actually do and say what you wish you'd done and said. I tried and couldn't. A short story came out instead. If you do choose to listen, I hope it adds value in some way.
