Indian equities ended the day lower on Monday, as IT stocks led the laggards amid renewed trade tensions between the US and China. The Sensex fell 174 points to close at 82,327, while the Nifty 50 slipped 58 points to 25,227.

The Sensex rose 398 points to 82,172, while the Nifty gained 136 points, closing at 25,182. Metal shares surged 2.2% on a rebound in base metal prices, driven by supply disruptions at key global mines.

Indian benchmarks extended their winning streak for a fourth straight session on Tuesday. The Sensex added 137 points to close at 81,926, while the Nifty rose 31 points to 25,108, led by strong gains in financials.

Indian markets kicked off the week on a strong note, led by banking and IT heavyweights. The Sensex jumped 583 points to close at 81,790, while the Nifty gained 183 points to reclaim the 25,000 mark.

Nifty closed at 24,894, up 58 points, Sensex at 81,207, rising 224 points. Investors were bullish on banks, consumer, and metal stocks, while Nifty traded rangebound.

After eight straight sessions of losses, the Sensex bounced back 716 points to trade near 81,000, while the Nifty rose 1% to close above 24,800.

India’s benchmark indices clocked their 8th straight loss on Tuesday. The Nifty closed at 24,611, down 24 points, while the Sensex slipped nearly 100 points to end at 80,268.

It was yet another dull day on Dalal Street as the markets clocked their seventh straight loss. Both benchmarks slipped in range-bound trade, weighed down by auto, IT, and pharma counters.

Indian equities crashed on Friday after the US. President Donald Trump announced steep tariffs of up to 100% on branded and patented drug imports starting October 1.

The Sensex fell 556 points to 81,160, while the Nifty slid below 24,900, ending at 24,891. Financials and IT shares dragged the markets, with foreign outflows and worries over US visa rules weighing on sentiment.
