  • Tue. Aug. 15th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: THE ASSUMPTION; A DIVINE GIFT AND A DIVINE HONOUR.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
No act of virtue goes unrewarded except the individual turns away from the life of virtue to the life of vice. Today, we celebrate God honouring Mary with an unprecedented and unique form of honour by assuming her, body and soul, into heaven. As many as persist in the life of virtue, God will always honour with rewards that are beyond all that the world can offer.

  • Sat. Aug. 12th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: SERVE GOD WITH FAITH.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
In the same way that repentance is granted by God (Acts 11:18; 2 Tim. 2:25), faith is also a supernatural gift of God. Ephesians 2:8–9 affirms this: “By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Our faith in God is a supernatural gift from God that makes God manifest Himself in our concrete life circumstances. Faith gives rise to God demonstrating His saving power in our life. Let us therefore serve God in faith in order to enjoy the fulness of His saving power.

  • Fri. Aug. 11th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
There is never a genuine love relationship that doesn't involve sacrifices mutually and willingly undertaken by the parties in love. In fact, this life of mutual and willing sacrifice undertaken by the parties concerned lasts as long as the genuine love relationship remains. Similarly, taking up our cross daily and following Jesus Christ simply implies constantly and persistently remaining in a genuine and lasting love relationship with Jesus Christ while carrying out all the sacrifices we must make as we journey with Him in the love affair as He never fails to sacrifice himself daily out of love for us.

  • Thur. Aug. 10th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: BE GENEROUS WITH YOUR LIFE.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
NO ONE IS ABLE TO GENUINELY AND WILLINGLY SACRIFICE OR GIVE A BIT OF WHAT HE/SHE HAS (TIME, TALENT OR MATERIAL RESOURCES) EXCEPT HE/SHE IS ABLE TO GIVE A BIT OF HIMSELF/HERSELF FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS. WE MUST BE FAVOURABLY DISPOSED TO MAKE LIFE BETTER FOR OTHERS AT OUR OWN EXPENSE FOR US TO BE GENEROUS IN THE TRUE SENSE OF THE WORD. TRUE GENEROSITY IS INCONVENIENCING OURSELVES IN A BID TO MAKE THE INCONVINIENT CONVINIENT OR LESS CONVENIENT. GENEROSITY IS GIVING A BIT OF OURSELVES FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS.

  • Wed. Aug. 9th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: BE A SIGN OF HOPE, NOT OF PAIN.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
THOUGH WE'RE BESEIGED BY SITUATIONS THAT INVOKE AND EXPOSE US TO ALL SORTS OF FEAR, WORRY, ANXIETY, DISPAIR AND DESPIRATION, LET'S LOOK BEYOND THEM TO SEE THE HAND OF GOD LEADING US THROUGH THEM ALL TO VICTORY SO WE KEEP OUR GAZE ON THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. YOU'RE MEAN'T TO BE A SIGN OF HOPE AND NOT OF PAIN TO YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS. BE THE LIGHT IN THE MIDST OF THE DARKNESS OF ERROR, DESPIRATION, HOPELESSNESS, DISPAIR AND AFFLICTIONS. AMIDST ALL THE TROUBLES AND STRUGGLES OF LIFE, IN GOD WE FIND HOPE.
For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 32, 91, 112; Luke 1:30 and Luke 2:10-14 from 1st to 9th August, 2023.

  • Tue. Aug. 8th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: BE HOLY AND DO NOT JUDGE.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
To grow in righteousness and virtue, your focus must be on God who's all perfect and on yourself to see always the areas of your life that needs growth and improvement. Focusing on others' flaws will only keep you away from growing in righteousness and virtue. Leave judgement to God if you must attain holiness.
For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 32, 91, 112; Luke 1:30 and Luke 2:10-14 from 1st to 9th August, 2023.

  • Mon. Aug. 7th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: DON'T MORTGAGE THE GLORY OF TOMORROW FOR THE PLEASURE
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Be careful not to sacrifice the glory of the future for the pleasure and comfort of the present. Don't allow the transient comfort and pleasure of your today ruin glory of your tomorrow. Remember, there are ways that seem right to a man but the end thereof is destruction.
For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 32, 91, 112; Luke 1:30 and Luke 2:10-14 from 1st to 9th August, 2023.

  • Sat. Aug. 5th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: IT'S A JUBILEE OF DIVINE RESTORATION.
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
God in the first reading of today gives a vivid prescription of the jubilee year celebration and it's basically centred on the restoration of all of creation to its original state where all are essentially equal and have equal access to God's presence and blessings. Jesus is our ultimate jubilee of all-around divine restoration of and for all, thereby bringing to perfection that mission of restoration thwarted by Herod in the mission of John the Baptist.
For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 32, 91, 112; Luke 1:30 and Luke 2:10-14 from 1st to 9th August, 2023.

  • Fri. Aug. 4th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: IS THIS NOT THE CARPENTER'S SON?
    TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.
Dearly beloved, who you're or become in life is not necessarily a function of your past, your backing or the circumstances surrounding your past, though these may influence you greatly. Who you're and become ultimately is to a greeter extent a function of God's plan for you and how much you're able to willingly respond positively to and cooperate with this divine plan. Be careful not to allow the experiences and circumstances of life to drag you away from the will of God for you and mare your connection to God via the assembly of God's people.
For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 32, 91, 112; Luke 1:30 and Luke 2:10-14 from 1st to 9th August, 2023.
