ETERNAL WORD OF LIFE MINISTRY (EWLM)

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. God never gives up on any human person, no matter how grievous their sins may be. He constantly goes all out in search of His children lost in sin. The price for our sins has been paid to the fullest because His love for us is eternal and His mercy inexhaustible. Nevertheless, because He respects our free will He expects of us to willingly and readily accept His love and mercy for us. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The souls of the virtuous are in the hands of God. In death we find rest from the toils and the troubles of this world and above all find eternal peace and unending light in the presence of God. Nevertheless, we must endeavour to live the life of grace in virtue haven been by God in Jesus Christ. Our dead indeed rest in God even as we continue to pray for God's mercy upon them. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Are you bearing the seal of God or the mark of the beast? We are God's children and we remain God's children living the life of the Blessed as given by Jesus Christ in today's Gospel (Matt. 5:1-12); a lifestyle that is not without challenges. In the saints we see the triumph of God's grace through perseverance. Are you persevering in the life of virtue thereby bearing the seal of God or dwelling in sin thereby bearing the mark of the beast? God's love for you is greater than your sins and His grace is stronger than your weaknesses. You can still be a Saint. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. In our world of today many human figures impress themselves upon us as models. The world also offers us varieties of standards to live our life by. None of these gives us a certitude good enough to stake our lives on. Have Jesus Christ as your model and be of the same mind and spirit with Him for in Him we find the standard and model that have stood and continues to stand the test of time. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. In Proverbs 14:34, we read, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Righteousness and Holiness are built on the foundation of humility. Whereas Holiness/Righteousness gains us the approval and favour of God, humility gains us the goodwill and favour of human beings. Be holy! Be humble! TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. In Jeremiah 1:5 God says to Jeremiah; "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

This shows that no human person is created by chance. Each of us is created for a mission and for a purpose. You're a being on a mission and called to live a purposeful life. Knowing, accepting and living out your mission is what distinguishes you and colours how you live your life. What's your mission and how faithful are you to that mission? TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Jesus Says in the Gospel of John 4:23; "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks". To be truly God's children we must offer God an all-round reverence to God by devoting every aspect of our being and existence to the worship of God and the service of God and humanity. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The family is not only the entry point of the individual to the society and the world but also the entry point to the kingdom of God. The latter is true to the extent that it is in the family that the individual is firstly introduced to God, initiated to God and firstly introduced to and continually taught in the ways of God. We must therefore never neglect our responsibilities in and to the family but ensure that the family remains the place we are continually schooled in the way of righteousness in order to access the kingdom of God. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The human person, the family and the church are the most basic units of the presence of the kingdom of God. The place of the family in the making more present to the world the kingdom of God is imperative. This kingdom of God in the family context is built on the dual principles of love and respect; the husband must love the wife as Jesus Christ loves the church and the wife must be submissive to the husband as the church is to Jesus Christ.
