The second coming of Christ.

The will of God for you is your sanctification. God calls us to be holy. To do this, to accomplish this, he gives us his Holy Spirit. Sanctification by the Holy Spirit is how we live out our life in the gospel.

Paul talks about the life of a Christian. It is all about Jesus Christ. It is all about getting ready for the coming of Jesus Christ. We have the Holy Spirit to help us prepare. We have the Holy Spirit to help us become sanctified. Our sanctification is the will of God. Sanctification is that process of us getting ready to be in the presence of Jesus Christ when he returns.

Paul encourages The Thessalonian church in their faith and in their love for the Gospel. We see the difference of Gospel love versus human love. The Gospel message begins with the love of God for all of us, and ends with the love of Jesus Christ for all of us as he sacrificed himself on the cross. The Gospel love never fails.

How do we receive the Word of God? Paul reminds us that this word cannot be taken for granted. We should receive the word of God for what it is -the very word of God.

When we receive the gospel message, God entrusts us to become spiritual parents to others. With humility and gentleness, God calls us to serve one another. We also become worthy as we walk - living life- as examples of Christ.

Paul talks about giving the gospel from the perspective of one’s heart.

Paul describes the impact that the word of God has on all who hear it. It comes with God’s power, the Holy Spirit and full conviction in truth. The word works those who hear it by producing faith. The word is love and creates love in all our labors. The word is steadfast in itself and give us steadfast and eternal hope. An awesome study.
