Paul asks the Galatians to examine their hearts, questions we should ask ourselves even today. Are we relying on ourselves, our own works, or are we walking in faith - relying on Jesus Christ?

The gospel is all about God’s grace to us. The gift of Jesus Christ who died for us. How do we then live? The Galatians had the same question. Paul reminds us that we live by faith. A look at grace throughout the Bible. We read a lot of scripture, and let God’s word do the talking. Wow! Grace is our gift, directly from God to each of us. It’s personal, and it’s powerful. With grace, the world can never be the same.

Paul continues to assert his calling and message is from a direct calling from God.

Paul’s opening letter to the Galatians states his authority from God. He summarizes the gospel in just a few sentences, and emphasizes how important it is to our salvation. If anyone changes the gospel in anyway they distort the message and the gift from God. What a powerful message for us all.

The Galatian church was in crisis. A lot of false teachers were present. Much like us today, the Galatians had a lot of uncertainties in their understanding of their salvation. Paul strongly addressed this by emphasizing the righteous shall live by faith.
