When God’s timing calls for restoration, will we be weak enough to be restored, or strong in our own ramparts?

No more will Judah be subject to the Assyrian rule. There is good news of peace on earth!

Nahum describes God’s power, authority, sovereignty and justice over all creation, including Nineveh.

Nahum begins by telling the people that God is jealous in his love for them, but he will punish sin because he is just.

The world is unfair, and affects all of us unfairly. Abide in Christ, not the world. Avoid the “Diotrephes Complex.”

We receive God’s love and truth (Christ) in faith and humility. It brings God pure joy as we share God’s love and truth towards one another in faith and humility.

We receive God’s love and truth by our faith, as we abide in him, and walk by faith.

Don’t be deceived. God’s love must work together with God’s truth in us, for us to be effective in him.

To deny the truth of God’s word is to deny the knowledge of Jesus Christ. To deny Christ is to deny his power of salvation.

God- because of his love, has mercy on us in our sin, gives us a gospel gift of grace that saves us, and allows us to be forgiven and to have his peace, his presence in our lives. Christ is the person of God, his word and his truth, given to a world of sin and deception. God’s truth is now for each one of us, to dwell in all believers. Christ commands us to love one another as God has loved us. This love must work together with God’s truth, otherwise it’s is not really God’s love at work.
