IIShow starts off with Jules when she was young (pre-transition) being taken to a psychiatric hospital for treatment, by her mom.They start off by making her believe that she is just there to take a tour but surprise; she is there to stay. It is so sad when she realizes that her mother is leaving her there.Jules freaks out and during the struggle, she scratched an RN in the face and is put into restraints.The narration explains how Jules hated everything about herself; her body, her brain and everything else in her life.Her brain and her body were mismatched and left her in a lifelong depression.While in the Psych hospital, she gets the orderly to leave behind an aluminum can and slices her wrist.She immediately regrets it and lets the orderly know.Funny thing is that she is worried about them being mad at her and sorry she did it.By 15, she started her transition and by 16, became slutty; hooking up with older men.Jules is very broken and then she meets Rue.Now she is actually happy because she has met Tyler and it all seems to be going well.Next scene we see Rue meeting with Ali and is going on and on about bullshit.She called him because of her situation with Jules and subsequent breakdown at Fez’s house but doesn’t tell Ali.You can’t get help if you are not honest with the people you seek help from.Ali explains to Rue that he believes Jules is Rue’s new drug of choice.The next scene centers around the carnival and jumps from character to character.  We first see Fez and Ashtray setting up their pretzel stand/drug store. MADDIE-Maddie and Nate arguing about Maddie’s outfit.Nate tells her to go home and change because she looks like a hooker.He says that his parents already don’t like her, and she is making things worse.Maddie meets up with Fez looking for Molly and is directed to the pretzel stand.On the way there, she meets up with Cassie and they both go to the pretzel stand where Ashtray hooks them up.  Maddie and Cassie are on the Ferris wheel, totally tripping out.Maddie and Cassie are in the house of mirrors, still tripping.They decide to cease from taking any more shit from anyone.Maddie interrupts the Jacobs family after they win the trophy for the best chili.She says, “I’m not supposed to be here because I am dressed like a hooker”, clearly jabbing Nate with the comment he rudely told her earlier that night.She tips over the pot of chili and calls Nate’s mom a cunt and is then grabbed by the arm by Nate and whisked away in a rage.Nate grabs Maddie by the throat and slams her against a trailer and tells her she is dead to him.Maddie tells him she has one question for him and confronts him about the dick pics on his phone.He tells her that he is going through a lot and begs her not to tell anyone.He tells her that he loves her and that he is sorry.Maddie looks worried but goes along with it.When she gets home, she sees the marks on her neck, left by Nate when he choked her.CASSIE-McKay and Cassie come to the Jacob’s chili stand where McKay makes the mistake of answering Nate’s question as to their relationship as “We just chillin”.Cassie gets pissed and storms off and McKay follows her.McKay tells her that he did it, so Nate won’t talk shit about her past to him. Cassie tears up and McKay calls it a night. Cassie goes to find Daniel and ask him to ride the carousel with her and is really having fun.Her and Daniel are making outWhen we come back to her, Cassie has an orgasm by herself but realizes that everyone is watching.Cassie is in tears when she meets up with Maddie and tells her that she thinks the Molly’s were too strong.KAT- Then it jumps to Jules and Kat waiting to get on the Graviton, but Jules sees Rue and goes to speak to her, leaving Kat to go on by herself but Ethan shows up and rides next to her.Ethan and Kat chill together and he sends Kat to get more slushies and he goes to get more tickets but runs into his sister’s co-worker who is super-hot.Kat sees him speaking to her and thinks that he is hooking up with this hot blonde.Kat meets up with the captain, a previous student at East Highland.She tells him that she heard that he had a huge dick and fucked everyone in his grade.She tells him she is 16 but he doesn’t seem to have a problem with it because they wind up fucking.RUE-Remember when Jules left Kat at the Graviton? Jules and Rue hug while Rue’s sister then tells Lexi that she believes Rue is in love with Jules and for a minute, Lexi looks jealous.Rue’s sister leaves to meet friends, leaving Lexi by herself.Jules sees Cal Jacobs and freaks out, explaining to Rue that Cal is the guy she recently fucked at the motel.Rue doesn’t believe her so in order to prove it, she walks up to the chili stand and orders a cup of chili.Cal freaks out and drops the chili; all the while, Nate is looking like someone killed his dog and makes him watch.Rue and Jules take off hysterically when Rue gets a call from her mom who informs her that Gia hasn’t answered her phone.Rue and Jules continue looking for Gia and decide to split up.While looking for Gia, Jules gets a text from Tyler (Nate) asking if she wants to meet up.Gia and a friend go to meet some boys in the parking lot.Rue eventually finds Gia smoking weed with the twins in the parking lot.Gia doesn’t want to go with Rue until one of the twins ask her when she turned into such a bitch and was it when she OD’d.Rue and Gia walk home, and Rue tells her to go straight to bed and she will cover for her.When they get home, Rue runs interference with Mom.JULES-Jules freaks when Nate walks up in Tyler’s place, but Nate tries to reassure her that he is not there to hurt her.Nate sounds more like Tyler when he proclaims to her that he really loved getting to know her.When Jules tells him that she doesn’t trust him; he responds that he doesn’t trust her either.They kiss and he puts his finger in her mouth and tells her to open wider; the very same thing that his dad told her at the motel.Nate begins to blackmail her, saying that he will turn her in for transmitting child pornography if she does anything to ruin his family.Jules tells Nate “you know what I think? "Made You Look" The episode begins with Kat's summer at age 11 where she got stung by a jellyfish and learned she hated the ocean but loved virgin piña coladas. In fact, she drank 72 of them over the course of that week.  After returning home,  Kat realized she’d gained 20 lbs. her boyfriend Daniel broke up with her during the fourth period of the first day of school.Kat was broken-hearted and turned to TV romances for comfort. Rue narrates, “That’s real love, and those were real men.” Not sure if that was the trigger that launched Kat's career as a smut writer on Tumblr but it did help her get in touch with the fantasy world that led her to embrace the persona "Thunder Kit Kat". That story earned Kat a huge online following, which had nothing in common with her life as a  high school student. She dreams of her being Khaleesi and telling her followers to attack the school attack all who won't bow to her.  The tables are turned as a man speaking Dothraki calls her an imposter and attacks her.  Kat always worried that those online wouldn’t like her if they knew the real her until the sex tape was spread around and she saw that many of her flowerers wanted her even more. Kat begins to follow the like of a Cam Girl.Rue continues to bullshit everyone at Narcotics Anonymous but is trying to stay clean because of the conversation she had with Jules.  We see a glimpse of that conversation in a flashback where Rue is coming down from her fentanyl trip and  Jules is begging her to stop using drugs, because “I’m not trying to become best friends” with someone who’s suicidal, the blonde tells her. “I don’t want to be around you if you don’t stop using drugs.” Rue is in deep shit when she gets home but again passes a drug test, thanks to donated pee.Jules falls in love with ShyGuy118, whom we know is Nate.  Both of them go about their days with their phones glued to their hands and you get the feeling that Nate really is falling in love also. A tense moment comes when Jules is excited because Tyler wants to meet her but Rue doesn’t think it is safe. This ends in a fight and later Rue comes back to Jules and says she is sorry.  They hug and Rue shocks  Jules by kissing her.  The moment is tense as Rue leaves apologetically and heads to Fez to give her a couple O.C.'s.   She bangs on his door and begs for him to sell her something so she can get through this latest shit storm. Fez won’t let her in and she freaks out and calls him a hypocrite.  She goes on to tell him,  “You fucking ruined my life.” “The least you could do is open the goddamn door and fix it.” Nate and Maddy have sex and while Nate is in the shower, Maddie decides to spy on his phone and finds his dick picks.  The worst part is the dicks aren't his.  Kat has her Skype session with Micropenis where she learns that all he wants is for her to humiliate him and get him off. Fucking transgender people and some feminine guys.  His fetish is having them call him daddy while he fucks them very roughly.  I am starting to wonder if Cal had a little playtime with Nate.  Does that play into his domineering sexcapades. Nate text Maddie and ask her if she blacked out the night of the party, explaining why she allowed herself to get fucked and betraying him.  Maddie rolls with it and starts spreading that lie.  Kat meets Ethan for the first time and of course, she will destroy any chance of a relationship with him.  Rue freaks out on stage in one of her classes and Lexi goes to help but we then see that drugs make people cunts.  Rue is so mean to Lexi.  I think Rue needs to appreciate any help she can get.  We get a bunch of flashbacks from the summer including Rue waking up in the hospital while her sister and mom are sleeping by her bed, and then we also see Rue singing in the car with her family but she is unable to talk about it and storms out of the class to get high in the bathroom. Where she is startled by Lexi. We see a lot of flashbacks of Rue consuming drugs and what led to it and it’s all sad but even after that, Rue comes off as a quite unlikable character. Rue stops at Fezco’s for more drugs and he tells her to leave but Rue doesn’t listen to him. The suppliers get there and begin fucking with Rue.  Fezco keeps asking him to leave her alone but he doesn't and winds up forcing her to take some Phentynol and she gets fucked up. Mouse, Fez's dealer wants $300 from Rue knowing she can't pay and starts to feel her up but Fezco somehow manages to pay them enough money so they won’t bother Rue and leave. Fezco calls Jules to take care of her and she takes Rue to her place and puts her in the bed.  She gets a text from shyguy18 who is being really nice to her.  She doesn't know that it is Nate.Meanwhile, on the school, somebody releases a video of when Kat lost her virginity. She denies it is her and actually does a pretty good job of convincing people it is not really her. She checks on the video to see if it was taken down but gets excited when reading the comments.  She gets an idea and sets up an account where she can upload media to achieve her goal.Nate is stalking Tyler thru the whole episode  (Tyler is the guy Maddie had sex at McKay’s party). Nate convinces himself that Tyler raped his girlfriend and breaks into Tyler's apartment and beats him to half death.  Whether Nate really convinced himself that Maddie was passed out or not doesn’t' matter. What does is his need to use violence to satisfy his anger issues. When Nate is done beating the shit out of tyler, he takes a shower and dresses up in Tyler’s clothes while Tyler is there, half dead. It’s not even the parents of teens. No, the true audience for Euphoria is parents of kids who are about 5 to 10 years old, who still have relatively good relationships with those kids but can see the storm clouds on the horizon. Criticizes Rue’s narration in the beginning. Says it feels like it must have been ripped off from a Hot Topic T-shirt  paranoia from the ’90s, reheated for today’s viewers. The point is to shock viewers by showing that teens are only doing drugs and having sex. The lack of technology at the center of some of these stories speaks to what Euphoria is really about: kids who were teens in the ’90s showing how their experiences would be if they are born in this generation .  It’s welcomed that Euphoria doesn’t tie Jules’s self-destructive streak to her transness but, instead, to her devastation in the wake of her parents’ divorce.
