This week we take time to reflect on the heart of our mission. The Church of the Nazarene is a missional church. Everything we do is centered on sharing hope, faith, and love—across borders, from one community to another.

At the center of this global movement is the World Evangelism Fund. It serves as the backbone of our work, making it possible for us to be present where we are needed, to support churches, and to reach people all around the world.

Through this fund, we remain faithful to our mission: making Christlike disciples in the nations—raising up people who live and love like Christ, in every culture and every country.

Annemarie Snijders is part of a Dutch Arabic church-plant in Utrecht in the Netherlands. In the church there are people from the Netherlands, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco. Quite a few people are from a muslim background, and some live in nearby refugee centers. Several people have come to faith in Jesus. It is a beautiful experience to come together with people from different cultural backgrounds and experience how Jesus is works among us.

She has lived in 7 different countries on 4 different continents. She is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University and has at varying times been a full time elementary teacher, mom, and pastor’s wife. Linda is now pursuing ordination as an elder in the church of the Nazarene. Her current assignment is coordinator for Advocacy for Women in Leadership on the Eurasia Region. She passionately desires that all people, especially women, are provided with opportunities to lead within the church - as laypeople and as ministers.
