The region of Engadin in eastern Switzerland offers skiers and snowboarders some of the best slopes in the world. It’s also where St. Moritz, one of Europe's most exclusive ski resorts, is located.

Ghulam Qadir Shahani wrote into us from Hyderabad in Pakistan and he has aspirations of peaky heights far far away. He wanted to see the highest town in Europe - Davos in the Swiss mountains.

The medieval, walled city of Carcassone has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997. It lies in the wine-growing region of Languedoc-Roussillon, which is also famous for its truffles.

Nice in Southern France offers everything that the French Riviera stands for: mild climate, beautiful beaches, world-renowned art museums and delicious food.
