Evangel Assembly of God Church, Kansas City

What do fashion and Christianity have in common? Before you discount it, there is actually a lot more than you might think! Join us for today's message from our "Walking Tall" series titled "What Not to Wear." Pastor Jason discusses how, just like the fashions and hairstyles of our pasts, living a Christian life requires us to shed our old wardrobe of behaviors and habits as we put on our new identities as Christ-followers.

Have you ever felt that living a religious or holy life is all about keep a long list of stringent rules? If that's all a life of faith is about for some of us, that means we've missed the point! Join us as Pastor Jason teaches us how to avoid some dangerous traps when it comes to our spiritual lives and how to keep Jesus at the center of our faith instead of a laundry list of rules.

It's safe to say that the majority of us like to have a plan in life. In fact, we often spend hours planning events that have yet to occur, or won't occur for MANY years, in our lives. The great news for planners and even those who fail to plan is that we serve a God who has ALWAYS had a plan. Join us today as Pastor Jason speaks about the plan God had from the beginning in order to rescue mankind.

Thanks for joining us for week two of our "Walking Tall" series! This week, Pastor Jason reminds us of who Jesus is, as described in Chapter 1 of the book of Colossians. We hope you will enjoy this message about how Jesus is worth of our worship.

Join us for our final week of our "Be the One" Serve the World emphasis. Please note, due to the presence of guest missionaries serving in sensitive areas, the service audio may be interrupted in order to protect our missionaries.

Join us for week two of our Serve the World campaign "Be the One" as we hear from special guest speaker, Huldah Buntain, about her work in India with Calcutta Mercy Ministries.

Every time you reach out to someone in order to introduce them to Jesus, you are continuing work that started with the disciples 2,000+ years ago! Join us as we kick off our fall Serve The World weekends by hearing from the many individuals at Evangel who have decided to "Be The One" each day in order to bring people to Christ.

Do you know how your words can make the biggest impact in this world? It's by using them to bring people to Jesus! Pastor Jason wraps up our "Words Matter" series by teaching us about the life of Zacchaeus and how we can make the most of the words we have in this life.

During last week's message, we learned about a few tools that will keep us from causing damage with our words. As we continue our series "Words Matter," Pastor Jason reminds us that, in addition to being careful with our words, we also need to use them freely when it comes to thanking and encouraging others.

We've all been in a situation where we have said exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time, whether we intended to or not. The Scriptures remind us over and over again that our tongues hold incredible power to build up or tear down others, so how do we keep them under control? Join us for week one of our "Words Matter" series as Pastor Jason shares practical and biblical things we can do to make sure our words bring life to people instead of pain.
