In today's day it seems many have lost the ability to be convinced and persuaded. Well, part of the role of the Spirit is to convince us of the Truth that already exists and in fact transcends this world. Perhaps we can rediscover the lost art of being convinced.

Jesus gives us fair warning that to follow Him means we will be hated by some. Don't take it personal. It's not you they hate, it's Christ in You. But why is this the case? What is it about Jesus that draws this kind of animosity?

The fruit of our lives is inextricably linked to our abiding in the Vine. Who's the vine? Jesus reveals Himself as the True Vine. The source for life, peace, joy, and purpose. It's our connection to Him that empowers us for everything else.

Jesus introduces the disciples to another helper. An advocate, and comforter who walks with and empowers us to love God.

Unity as described by a biblical worldview is wholly contained in the Godhead; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The unity between humanity is fickle but when we submit ourselves to God it brings us together in a way nothing else can.

There is something powerful about coming to the table with friends and family. In the gospel of John we see this moment of conversation around the table where Jesus reminds us we have a place at the table because of His work. In fact, even in His going back to the Father He prepares a place for us at the table.

Is it even possible for humans to be altruistic in our motivation toward others?

You may have heard that believers in Jesus go "from glory to glory." But Jesus, at the close of His ministry, defines what the motivation and outcome of altruism is. Journey with Pastor Lucas through the next part of our Gospel of John series and see how Jesus defines what glory and altrusim have to do with each other.

When it comes to the light and dark motif of scripture one thing is certain. Light always overcomes the darkness. Judas allows the dark places of the soul to take over, but even in the midst of his descent, Jesus offers forgiveness.
