A Father You Can Trust Jun. 16, 2019 Intro: As we celebrate Father’s Day today, I would like for us to remember our Heavenly Father. He is worthy of all of the praise and glory we can give Him. He is the absolute best father that there could ever be. He truly is a father that we can trust. I. He Is A Rewarder  – Heb. 11:6 “… he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews 11:6(NLT) And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. HE is the Perfect Judge 2 Timothy 4:8(NLT) And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing. 2. Cannot Expect God To Answer Prayer If We Are Not Doing His Will. 2 Timothy 2:15-18 (NLT) 15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. 17 This kind of talk spreads like cancer,[a] as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus. 18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith. Hebrews 10:22-25 (NLT) 22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Must Come In Jesus’s Name. Isaiah 59:2 (NLT) 2 It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.    Because of your sins, he has turned away    and will not listen anymore. 4. YOU Cannot Expect The Lord To Answer Prayer When We Are Not Living For The Lord.
