Before Paul can explain why the gospel is the power of God for salvation (1:16), he needs to show us what we need saving from. Over the next two weeks we'll look at the context of the gospel as outlined in 1:18-3:20. This week: God is angry with you.

We review last week's study, prep this week's study, discuss how follow-up questions can generate discussion, and briefly look at the difference between Protestant and Catholic beliefs about the doctrine of revelation.

As we prepare to commence Semester 2 Bible studies, it's important that we start our groups on the right foot. We'll also pull apart Hebrews 1:1-4.

Semester 2 Bible Talks kicked off in Week 1 with our first talk in our series on Romans 1-11. Romans 1:1-17 frames the rest of Paul's letter and grounds us in the gospel that he is eager to preach.
