  • Book Review: Greek for the Rest of Us by William Mounce
Greek for the Rest of Us is William Mounce's definitive answer to the question every pastor has been asked: 'Is there a way to understand the Greek New Testament without spending years learning it?' The answer, Mounce argues, is a qualified yes—not because shortcuts replace rigorous scholarship, but because a well-equipped reader armed with good tools and a foundational grasp of the language can engage the text at a far deeper level than English-only study allows. Written by one of evangelicalism's foremost Greek grammarians and the translator behind the ESV, the book ascends through three tiers—Foundational, Church, and Functional Greek—guiding readers from the alphabet to word studies, phrasing, verbal aspect, textual criticism, and translation theory. The result is not a substitute for formal Greek training but the most practical on-ramp to biblical languages available to the motivated layperson, pastor, or teacher.

Massie (agnostic), Kent (Catholic), Carlson (Protestant), Marjorie Taylor Green and husband (neo-evangelicals) are forming a third party with the intent of destroying MAGA due to their support for Israel. • Do You Love God?
The sermon challenges believers to examine whether their love for God produces tangible action in their lives, drawing primarily from 2 Corinthians 5:14-21. It argues that the love of Christ compels Christians to cease living for themselves and instead pursue progressive sanctification through daily obedience and spiritual growth. The preacher emphasizes that true faith is evidenced by a passionate desire to share the gospel with others, urging the congregation to actively engage in evangelism rather than remaining passive observers. By illustrating how genuine affection drives behavior in other areas of life, the message asserts that a lack of change or witness indicates a deficiency in one's love for God. Ultimately, the text calls for a holistic response where personal transformation and missionary zeal are inseparable fruits of salvation.
