The word -Revival- has been used a lot in these recent days, We see revivals springing up all across the nation in various schools, churches etc. In 2 Kings 13, we find a pattern for Real Revival.

In our world today, we've lost the wonder for a lot of things. People are rarely amazed. But in Exodus 15, we see the aftermath of the amazing deliverance of Israel, where God brought them over the Red Sea and defeated the Egyptians. They sang to the Lord and rejoiced over his amazing works, but 22 verses later they were complaining because there was no water. Blessings are often followed by battles. Within this text, we find several peculiar and amazing things.

In this life, offenses will come. Someone may insult, or do something to you that offends you. By definition, it's a wrong doing toward someone. The Lord tells us that we can't escape offenses, so we must learn what to do when an offense occurs.

Peace is something sought after by the world today. The peace of God cannot be replicated, but it is a gift given with salvation to the believer.

A common phrase among all the texts that Pastor Evans reads in this sermon is -without blemish.- We see an emphasis on the sacrifices made that are without blemish, but we learn in this sermon what it means to be one of the lambs with blemishes. Wounded lambs are spared from a sacrificial death, and are cared for personally by the Shepherd.
