We are so glad we are back! We took a much needed hiatus while we went through major life changes. Now that things are slightly more settled we are back to doing what we love and cannot wait to bring you more content.
Pause Mama, a place where mental health, self care, and fun connect. Its a safe place for moms to show every part of themselves and heal through connection and sharing their experiences. We talk with Sarah Mecham about her mental health journey and how it led her to create Pause Mama. She teaches us how sharing our trials can help us grow to heal ourselves and others.
Happy Mothers day! Today we wanted to talk about what really defines motherhood. It's not the housekeeping, the amount of time spent at home, the quality of food we cook, or the hundreds of other to dos and expectations we give ourselves. Its not even about having a baby. Motherhood is the divine relationship we have with other people. It's our potential and ability to touch others lives and change the world through love and caring for others.
The last year has been unique and challenging for all of us. It has caused a lot of changes and need or new routines. We discuss the changes we have had and how being open to a reset is so beneficial to our mental health.
We are back after spring break and we want to talk about how nobody, including us, knows what they are doing.
In this week's episode we talk all about body positivity. We talk about our personal struggles with body positivity and the shaming surrounded around bodies. Body positivity refers to the assertion that all people deserve to have a positive body image, regardless of how society and popular culture view ideal shape, size, and appearance. We hope you enjoy the conversation!
We are beyond excited to talk to Dr. Julie Hanks @drjuliehanks about gender roles and patriarchy. We need to change up how we look at responsibly in and outside the home and let go of the idea of "women's work and men's work". We also talk about how to change this dynamic for our children and help them embrace whatever role they choose for themselves.
We had Tess @the.ennegram.mom join us to explain what The Enneagram is. She gives us a run down of each type, how to find your number, and why this personality assessment is so important.
We read the self help book "Fear is my Homeboy" by Judi Holler.
So you've had a baby! Now what? This week, we talk about what they didn't tell us about what happens after delivery. We discuss our top favorite items that you really need at the hospital, and different tip we have found truly helpful after the delivery of your baby.
