Welcome to this first episode of the Sweet Mother podcast. This premiere episode is dedicated to a woman who is so very dear to me- her my own mother, Mrs. Evelyn Onikeh Songu-Mbriwa nee Parper. My mom was a great mom. She was mom to six of us- 3 boys and 3 girls, and she had 8 grandchildren. Sadly, she passed away in October 2021 at the age of 75 after a short and sudden illness. It was a life well lived, and she is dearly missed. I had the opportunity to conduct an interview all about her life, as told through the eyes of two people who knew her very well- her two youngest children and my two younger sisters Omoh Head and Evelyn Sekajipo. I hope you’ll enjoy this first episode, all about my mother’s life as told through the eyes of her daughters.
