At Evening Carols, we reflect on John 1:1–18, where John introduces us to Jesus - the true Light of the world. In this message we’ll explore three profound truths: 1. that Jesus brings life to all who believe, 2. that He shines light into and overcomes the darkness, and 3. that He reveals God the Father. These are not things we could accomplish on our own. It is only through Jesus, God’s gift to us, that we can experience true life, hope in the midst of darkness, and a living knowledge of the Father’s love. As we hear the carols and read the Scriptures, we are reminded that Christmas is ultimately about God entering our world to give us what we cannot give ourselves - a light that transforms, a life that sustains, and a revelation that draws us into His presence.
