Last week, President Trump signed a series of executive orders to dramatically increase and accelerate the construction of nuclear power plants in the United States. One order cuts reactor approval times, another speeds up testing times for new reactor models and a third establishes a joint effort between the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense to build and operate reactors on federal sites. The sweeping orders are largely a part of efforts to meet energy demands of artificial intelligence and domestic production.

FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with John Kotek, Senior Vice-President for Policy Development and Public Affairs for The Nuclear Energy Institute, who says we need to catch up to countries like China and Russia in nuclear power development.
