Out of all of the words Jesus speaks from the cross, there's one that is both the most relatable and most confusing: "I Thirst." This week, our Youth Director Brennan Hinton helps explain the significance of Jesus' thirst from the cross. From physical thirst, to fulfilling Scriptures and inviting others into His Kingdom. Are You Thirsty?

Jesus is on the cross for 6 excruciating hours. And during that time, he utters the words, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" In this episode, Pastor Nick breaks down how Jesus is looking back to Psalm 22 from the cross, and how he is fulfilling the things David wrote about 1000 years earlier. We also learn how Jesus' sacrifice makes the way for our forgiveness.

As we continue to look at the Last Words that Jesus spoke from the cross, we take time to examine the criminals in the crucifixion story. Jesus takes the place of Barabbas, a known Jewish insurrectionist and murderer. Jesus is also joined on the cross by 2 other criminals who each have 2 different responses to him: ridicule and repentance. One leads further into death, the other to Paradise. Which will you choose?

As we continue to examine the last words of Jesus on the cross, we turn to Jesus' relationship with his mother, Mary. Jesus' words to the Apostle John and Mary provoke a lot of questions about his own family. Pastor Nick and his wife Beth will both unpack Mary's perspective of seeing her son on the cross, and how Jesus' view of family extends far beyond his own flesh and blood.

As we look toward Easter, we enter into a new series called "Last Words." This series will take us through Jesus' last words from the cross. In this episode, we hear Jesus say "Forgive them" to those who are executing him. As we hear Jesus, we also hear the call for us to forgive others in our lives as well.
