  • 72. Choosing the Right Podcast Hosting Platform for Growth

Hey, Mama! When it comes to podcasting for your business, you want to make sure you are choosing a podcast hosting platform that meets your needs. With so many podcast hosting platforms available, how do you know which one is the best one for you and your podcasting needs? Well, in today's episode, I share some tips for choosing a podcast host.

Note: Although I don't mention this in the episode, Podbean does have a bulk ad editor with their dynamic ad insertion feature, and they offer private podcast feeds. However, for their dynamic ad insertion, they charge a fee of $1/CPM (cost per mile or cost per thousand). Private podcast feeds are only available in their Podbean Pro plans, which are a much higher investment.

In this episode, you will learn:

    • What to consider when deciding on a podcast hosting platform when you are podcasting for your business
    • My thoughts on the free podcast hosting platform, Spotify for Podcasters
    • My recommendations for podcast hosting platforms

Hey, Mama! Tracking our podcast metrics is a task we should be doing monthly when podcasting for our businesses. When we analyze the right podcast metrics, we can learn a lot about our listeners and what podcast content they're actually enjoying.

Podcast downloads are often the focus in the podcasting industry, but these numbers are vanity metrics and don't equate to sales when you are podcasting for your business.

There are more important podcast metrics that provide rich data about our audience. In today's episode, I'm sharing three podcast metrics you should be analyzing in addition to your podcast downloads.

In this episode, you will learn:

    • Why downloads aren't the main podcast metrics you should track monthly
    • 3 podcast metrics you should be tracking when podcasting for your business
    • What each of these podcast metrics tell you about your listeners and podcast content
