  • The End Goal of Following Jesus - John 17:13-26

Week 5 of our series, Follow, explores how, more than anything, Jesus desires a close, daily relationship with us, inviting us to centre our lives around him and share in his love and joy.

  • The Right Kind of Yoke - Matt 11:25-30

Week 2 of our series, Follow.

Process of Becoming: Everyone is constantly becoming a certain kind of person, shaped by daily decisions and actions, which underscores the importance of intentional spiritual formation.

Danger of Self-Sufficiency: Believing that you have already arrived or that your current trajectory is sufficient can hinder your ability to be shaped into the image of Jesus.

Jesus’ Invitation to Rest: Jesus offers a "kind" and "easy" yoke, representing his teachings and way of life, which help bear burdens and lead to true rest rather than weariness.

The Paradox of Following Jesus: Following Jesus involves a paradox where it may initially feel like self-denial or death, but ultimately leads to a deeper, more fulfilling rest and life.

Call to Practice the Way of Jesus: To truly embrace the way of Jesus, individuals are invited to engage in practices that reflect his lifestyle, such as prayer and sabbath, fostering a deeper relationship with him.

  • Resistance Mission - Luke 10:1-20

    Week 3 of Spiritual Warfare

This world isn't how it should be. We're living in unreality, but the storyline of the Bible is that reality is breaking in. Jesus Christ came on a resistance mission to overthrow the power of Satan, releasing people into lives of truth and freedom. He has also recruited us to join him on this resistance mission, bringing his presence into dry and barren wastelands.

  • Spiritual Protection - Ephesians 6:1-20

    Week 2 of Spiritual Warfare

The Bible teaches that we're in a war. But it doesn't look like conventional frontline warfare. It looks more like the weaponisation of ideas as we're opposed by Satan, the father of lies. But how can we possibly defend ourselves against a spirit being? The answer is to seek the help of the LORD, the warrior king who has the kind of protection we need: the Armour of God.
