Mark gives us one of the most challenging scenes in the Gospels. In one encounter, Jesus refers to a Syrophoenician woman as a “dog.” In the next, He heals a deaf man using fingers in his ears, spit, and touching his tongue. Both passages present beggars at the feet of Jesus, who come with nothing but leave with everything.

As we continue our series in the book of Mark we come across the feeding of the five thousand. In this miracle, we see Jesus as the fulfillment of Moses cry for a shepherd in Numbers 27, the fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecy in Ezekiel 34, and the fulfillment of our greatest desires and longings today.

What does it look like to live by faith? In this passage, two radically different people find themselves at the feet of Jesus where His authority meets their active faith. Faith that reaches out to Him in desperation, and faith that walks with Him into death itself.

As we continue our series in the book of Mark, we find Jesus calming the stormy sea and the chaos within a demonized man. In this passage, we find Jesus as the ruler of all creation, restoring creation into its proper order.

Who is Jesus? This is the question that hangs over the entire book of Mark. In Mark 2:23-3:6 we find Jesus, Lord of the Sabbath claiming to be the meeting place between heaven and earth, the source of joy and delight, and the one who is bringing a Sabbath-like Kingdom to this world.

We continue our series in the book of Mark by diving into the the healings of two different men. In each case we find that Jesus cures their incurable conditions, sparks a conversation, and leaves them with a command. Through it all, we find that Jesus diagnoses the greatest problem in the world, and offers a solution.

As we continue our series in the gospel of Mark, we find that Jesus 'ministry begins with a life-changing announcement: the Kingdom of God is at hand. Pastor Tyler explains the modern temptation to treat the Gospel like advice that we can either consult to when we feel like it, rather than an announcement that reorients life itself.
