Do we, too walk away sorrowing, saying "this is impossible?" 

He came as lamb without blemish. And this is life eternal that they might know thee the eternal God and Jesus Christ, our foundation of strength. To know Him, to love Him, to obey Him is to have life eternal. 

These growing and learning pains that each of us experience, can bring tears. I know that news that past week brought crocodile tears, from a sense of helplessness and grief for the suffering of others. It is important to remember, The Bible promises that “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain” (Revelation 21:4). 

Gifts any of us can give this Christmas include: mend a broken bridge of love. .Seek out a friend with whom you've lost touch. Replace suspicion with trust. Write a letter, as there is something about a handwritten letter that touches the heart. Give a soft answer. Encourage our young people and see in them the light of Christ.

Believing no matter what keeps us closer to heaven.

“Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man.” Let us embrace this message and strive to see the world through the eyes of a child this Christmas season, embracing the reason for the season and the power of repentance. 

As we learned decades ago, starting with the end in mind is a fundamental principle of effective planning. When you know your destination, you can create a roadmap to get there. As Jeffrey R. Holland noted, "Don't give up. Don't you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying." 

Keeping habits consistently takes attention, awareness and a will. So today, I am asking you to join me for just the next three days to fill the digital frequencies, yep, that is correct fill with what fills you with gratitude. We live in a time of incredible criticism, contempt and comparison. So for just three days we can counterbalance those three C's with simply sharing what brings gratitude.

Upon birth into mortality, one of the gifts that every mortal receives is the light of Christ, to prompt, enlighten and lead us towards that which is good, right and noble. [John 1:9 Bible New Testament]. It is the upward reach to be light. When we do that which is good, right and noble, we find we have a lighter step, we smile more often and our hearts are turned more towards our Redeemer. We are lighter and we radiate light which draws others towards us, if only for a moment to rest in the safety and warmth of our light.
