With evil and God’s enemies finally destroyed, we see God bringing about His long-promised restoration of all things: creation working as it should and mankind in right relationship with Him. The Bible’s picture of heaven is one of a restored heaven and earth. It’s time to reimagine heaven the way the Bible describes it.

As we move towards the end of God’s Story and the Bible, we see a vision in Revelation of cosmic conflict that is finally resolved as God judges all his enemies, vindicates his people, and restores all things in heaven and earth according to his redemptive purpose.

Abraham is called the father of our faith. What was in his life that allowed him to be used in a special way in God’s redemptive plan? And what can we learn from him so that we can also be blessed to be a blessing!

In this story of The Tower of Babel, we see an entire nation using a human technology, bricks, to rebel against God’s will. Our relationship with technology has not always been positive and this story can shine some light on how we must relate to our own creations.

Easter is a reminder of the threefold invitation to:

come & see,

come & behold, and

go & tell.

He is risen, indeed!

Gen 6-9 recounts how Noah and his immediate family are rescued from the flood. The whole narrative is presented as the undoing of creation and then the “re-creation” of the earth as it emerges from the flood. The Flood represents both the judgement and grace of God as it prepares us for something greater to come in God’s Story to give us not just a new start but new hearts.

The story of Noah and the flood is well known even to those who have little Bible knowledge. By faith, Noah simply obeyed this unusual request by God – to build an ark to save his family. In this message we consider what God might be asking us to do in faith as we follow Him.

The story of Cain & Abel is immensely insightful in showing us the essence of FAITH, the power of SIN, and the depth of God’s GRACE in a world beyond Eden.

Life is both beautiful and broken. The far-reaching consequences and impact of sin have stained everything good. Yet, in the midst of a dark chapter in the bible and God’s Story, we already see the signs of God’s redemption take action.

There is life and hope beyond Eden.

The saddest event in human history was when we decided to go our own way and reject God’s love and authority. What actually happened in the fall of humankind? This week we look at that event, the consequences and how God has provided a way back.
