Double board certified hematologist oncologist and MyCandor president Dr. Maurice Berkowitz joins Christina Thomas for a myth-busting conversation about breast cancer. They cover common fears, what the science actually says, and how patients can advocate for themselves without feeling fear.
While debunking myths – like does deodorant cause breast cancer? – Dr. Berkowitz and Christina discuss why knowledge is power, especially when it comes to breast cancer screening and genetic risk. He also provides insight into emerging research and clinical trials for breast cancer care.

Everybody Loves Boobs: The Podcast is about surviving, thriving, and reclaiming your story after breast cancer treatment.
Host Christina Thomas was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2022 and began treatment soon after. While she had an amazing community supporting her throughout treatment, Christina wasn’t prepared for what came next. Life post treatment brought changes like brain fog, weight gain, and changes in her hair, body, and sense of identity. There was so much conversation around getting through cancer, but far less about what happens after treatment ends.
As Christina began navigating this new chapter and connecting with others who were struggling, she realized how much of the survivorship experience was still going unspoken. That became the inspiration behind Everybody Loves Boobs, a brand created to continue the conversation around survivorship, bring more attention to life after treatment, and remind people that survivorship is not the end of the story.
Everybody Loves Boobs: The Podcast explores what it means to move beyond diagnosis and embrace life on your own terms. Through candid conversations with survivors, advocates, and healthcare experts, Everybody Loves Boobs dives into the complex realities of cancer survivorship. Using breasts as both a literal and symbolic entry point, the podcast examines the many ways cancer may shape our relationship with our bodies, while celebrating the resilience, growth, and self-discovery that come with reclaiming your story.
Listen to Everybody Loves Boobs: The Podcast on October 15, with new episodes every other Thursday.
