Everyday Connection

Journey from the banks of a prolific gold-bearing river named Hell to a last will and testament whose century-old riddle led explorers to an uncharted area of Ecuador in a futile search for high-grade emeralds: the Green Fire. EXPEDITIONS propels you on a thrilling journey into Lee Elders’ search for this treasure in the world of the Untsuri Shuara, the headhunters of the Western Amazon.

In the mid-sixties, the adventure of discovery was the enticement that drew Lee to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality.

Lee’s search for the Green Fire spanned years that were filled with insurmountable odds. Unpredictable weather, raging rivers, precarious jungle trails and dangerous predators proved formidable opponents, but those and other perilous obstacles didn’t deter him.

This is an amazing true story.

LEE ELDERS was destined to be an investigator/adventurer. Born in a railroad house in Bowie, AZ, he was raised on the Apache reservation near San Carlos where his pet was a coyote and his mentor an Apache medicine man who helped forge Lee’s resolve during his EXPEDITIONS in Ecuador. Lee has an extensive background in investigation and documentary filmmaking and has traveled the world exploring the unknown.

After many years of self educating in the realms of spiritualism and shamanism, at 50, Lisa enrolled in a four year program of self empowerment and ancient sacred teachings. Now graduated and ordained, she balances her professional career in public accounting and her spiritual practices with writing and creativity.

Lisa lives in Northern California with her husband, Ofer, two dogs, two cats and a ball python.

Fills the gap in the lack of devotional and inspirational literature within the growing movement of devotees of the Sacred Feminine.  It connects the dots between Goddess religion and social justice and politics, namely Sacred Feminine Liberation Thealogy.

Publishing March 2014 on Changemakers  Books (imprint of John Hunt Publishing Ltd) – Goddess Calling, by Rev. Dr. Karen Tate - Goddess Calling is designed to give individuals or those desiring to serve their communities a springboard to offer “sermons from the pulpit” with ideas to create a format for a regular gathering or service. Easy to digest and sometimes gently following the seasons of the year and holidays already on most people’s calendars, these messages and meditations use Goddess archetypes, ideals and mythology to provide content for education, inspiration and contemplation for anyone seeking to incorporate a feminine face of God within their spirituality, no matter what their faith.

Author: Karen Tate is an independent scholar, speaker, radio show host, published author, and social justice activist. For almost three decades her work has been fueled by her intense interest and passion for travel, comparative religions, ancient cultures, and the resurging interest in the rise of the Feminine Consciousness. She lives in Venice, California.
