An antiquarian's journey through backwoods New England turns sinister as he spots a foreboding old house. Seeking shelter from the elements, he sees no other option but to take refuge in the dark, unwelcoming building. Dilapidated and far from the path of ordinary travelers, he assumes it to be abandoned.... and enters.
