Everyday Eldritch

A death has occurred, and an odd one at that! Strange tales of unseen things rustling in the foliage, and the mangled corpse of the victim... could a man have done all that... we work with the evidence we have... let's ask the witness what happened.

Why did I drop Pickman, the Mad Artist of Boston... Don't be impatient. I'm getting to that... but first, maybe let's turn on the light for this next part... God, I wouldn't be alive if I'd ever seen what that man—if he was a man—saw...

An antiquarian's journey through backwoods New England turns sinister as he spots a foreboding old house. Seeking shelter from the elements, he sees no other option but to take refuge in the dark, unwelcoming building. A guilty man confesses to a horrible crime. The details surrounding the case are strange, to say the least... An incessant ringing, and a pale blue eye. The Imp of the Perverse is back again, ready to claim another victim of conscience.

"The Tell-Tale Heart" is a classic work of American Gothic fiction. Published in 1843, Edgar Allan Poe's timeless horror tale explores themes of paranoia, guilt, and madness.
