Today's episode explores equanimity: what it is, how to cultivate and apply it in our lives, and it's foundations in the principles of non-violence. Through examining our response to suffering, both outside of us and within, we begin to peel back the many layers of our own responses. The roots of suffering are a false sense of separateness and equanimity, or the practice of peace, is the culmination of practicing compassion, loving-kindness, mindfulness, and light-heartedness. When we laugh, we're in equanimity, when we extend true compassion or love to others or our selves, we're in equanimity.
