Everyone has unlimited potentials.
【Xianer says so: “I am telling ghost stories to Shifu.”】

Shifu took Xian’er for a walk in the evening,
Xian’er was sleepy and wanted to go to bed.
He didn’t dare to tell Shifu as he might be called lazy.
So he came up with an idea that he was going to tell ghost stories.
Shifu might get scared and want to go back sooner.
Therefore, Xian’er told several ghost stories: some with long red tongue, some with  scary hanging hair, and some with extremely pale face ...
Xian’er finished his stories, only to find Shifu staring at him for almost 10 minutes.
This freaked him out.
So he asked,
“Shifu, what is going on? Why are you starting at me like this?”
Those who heard about this were angry and asked Shifu:
 “Xian’er is so dum, why are you keeping him around?”
Shifu said: “Xian’er is going to be great. ”

Below are quoted from my Shifu’s new book, Say Good Things—Master Xuecheng’s insight on the path to speaking like a Buddha.
The Buddha teaches the truth of emptiness and conditional arising.
There will never be a self that is permanent.
Everything is in a state of constant changing.
In the eyes of the ordinary person, ‘My home is grand’ is a metaphor that forest hosts all kinds of birds.
But in the eyes of the Buddha, this means infinite potential. 

我家广大-每个人都有无限的可能

【贤二如是说：我给师父讲故事】

晚上，师父带贤二散步，贤二困了，想睡觉，
但是，又怕师父说自己懒，就想了一个办法，
吓唬师父，早点回去，这样自己就能睡觉去了。
于是，贤二就跟师父讲鬼故事，
一口气讲了好几个，红舌头，披散着头发，
猛地一回头，一张惨白惨白的脸......
贤二讲完了，发现师父唬着脸看着自己，
足足看了有十分钟。贤二吓坏了，
问，师父，您这是怎么了，干吗这样看着我？
事后大家都很愤怒，问，师父，贤二都二成这样了，
您怎么还把他留在身边，师父就说，
贤二将来一定会有成就。

以下来自我师父的《好好说话》
佛陀教导“缘起性空”，
没有一个与生俱来的不变的“我”，
一切都在不断的变化，
“我家广大”，在常人眼里
可能是林子大了什么鸟都有，
在佛陀眼里却是无限的可能性。
