'Beds and Bills In Bristol: A Student Housing Crisis' is an advocacy-style podcast exposing the reality of the student housing crisis in Bristol. It highlights the mistreatment and financial difficulties students face while studying in the city, challenging the idea that poor living conditions are a “normal” part of student life. Featuring first-hand experiences from students currently studying in the city and expert insights from housing charities and student unions. As a society, we have come a long way since the days when only the richest people in the country could attend university, but if prices keep rising in Bristol and financial support does not keep pace, higher education will once again be inaccessible to the majority of people.  

A big thanks to everyone who has helped me with my final project: Ygor, Clare, Sophie and Thandi. I literally couldn't have done this without you, and I also couldn't have done it without the team at Black Sheep Coffee for their matcha lemonade! The last 3 years have had their ups and downs, but I can safely say that my time studying in this beautiful (very expensive!) city has helped grow my confidence, and moving here has been the best thing that I've done in my life so far. This place has truly become a home to me. I love every one of my friends in Bristol, and I can't wait to enjoy the next couple of months now that I've finished studying!
