Hello! We haven't released in a while, so apologies for that, but here is the final episode of season 1! After this comes season 2 in February :)
This episode focuses on racial injustice and how to educate yourself on such a heavy topic. Racism has been around for what seems like forever and speaking upon fighting is necessary. There is so much deserved stirred rivalry now seen through media outlets, books, music, protests, and more. We cover our thoughts on police brutality, which became better known after the George Floyd case, which also lead to the Black Lives Matter movement. Recommendations of books addressing racism are given. For example, "The Hate You Give", by Angie Thomas and "Punching The Air", by Yusef Salaam & Ibi Zoboi. We add our personal thoughts and knowledge, as well as provide some solid history facts that explain the rotten roots of racism.
After hearing this episode, we hope you are well aware, more than you originally were! Always remember there is a fight in you and a voice to use. Also, do your own research, as well! + support businesses owned by colored beings, and donate to organizations fighting racial injustice [if you can, but simply educating yourself and spreading awareness is extremely helpful] :)
