The MEF parent webinar, moderated by Rabbi Mendy Levin, featured Mrs. Gittel Francis, LCSW, and Mrs. Gitty Meyers, LCSW, who discussed recognizing and addressing anxiety and depression in children and teens. They covered common signs, differentiating stress from serious concerns, and major stressors kids face today.

The presenters shared strategies for fostering open communication, building resilience, and avoiding common parenting confusions. They also discussed when to seek professional help, treatment options, and best practices for disclosing mental health concerns to schools and camps. Lastly, they emphasized collaboration between parents, educators, and administrators to support struggling children.
