Good morning and welcome to Hokmah and coffee hopefully you're having a great day today. Now I do want to say, today's the last day that the course will be free. After today, it will no longer be free. Actually, partially through today so I'll jump on it as soon as you can. Because part when I get up and I started working on the, on the website, a little bit later from today is going to not be free anymore. It will be $49. Now that's not expensive for a course, but I think free is better than cheap so get in on it while you can accept this free gift that's extended your way. And I hope it's a blessing to you.
Now we are continuing our journey through Matthew, and we're in Matthew 26 and we're on verses 47 through 50 today, and I want us to read those and think about these and there's so there's a word I'm going to emphasize that blows my mind, and here it is ready. And while he yet spake lo Judas one of the 12 came in with a great multitude with swords and staves from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now he that betrayed and gave them a sign saying whomsoever I shall kiss that saying is he holding fast and forthwith he came to Jesus and said hail master and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, here's the crazy word friend wherefore art thou come. Then came they laid hands on Jesus and took him.
1:21
How can Jesus look at this man, and call him, friend? That makes no sense to me How could he know that Judas was betraying Him, and still call him friend I believe this shows is the love of Jesus the love of God, that even though there's probably one of the worst sinners and I feel like I'm right there with Judas sometimes but one of the worst sinners who's ever lived could betray the Son of God to be killed. He calls him friend, and just a few moments earlier he'd washed his feet. This is remarkable. Jesus calls Judas friend and I want to tell you this. If Jesus could call Judas friend. I promise you if you're listening to this, he wants to be your friend. I promise you There's nothing you've done that makes Jesus not want to be your friend he wants to know you. He wants you to be near him. He wants to teach you how to live correctly. And so don't don't fall into the trap of thinking that God wants to know some people and he doesn't want to know others and that God will be close to some preachers but not to you because you're not quite on the same spiritual plane is a no no no friend, you are as close to God as you want to be as you make your mind up to be. And if you are far from God, that is your decision because God wants to know you. In fact he says drawn nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you cleanse your hands, ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double-minded... Friend, I promise you, God wants to know you. He wants to be close to you. In fact, revelation pictures Him knocking at your heart's door saying "open it up, because if you just open the door, I will come in and sup, I will fellowship with you, we'll have a Hangout time together." And so friend if you feel for our friend God, I promise you. He wants to be close to you. He wants you to be his friend are you close to him today. Don't be like Judas, Jesus loved Judas, and had Judas betrayed him and sold him for cheap things. And Jesus died because of Judas betrayal. Don't, don't give Jesus over for a few meaningless pleasures. All your relationship with Jesus close and be a good friend to the Savior. I hope you have a great day today and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Now let us get into our Hokmah for today. And the Bible says this, Peter answered and said unto him, though, all men shall be offended because of the yet will I never be offended. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say into thee that this night before the cock Crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. Peter said unto him, though I should die with thee yet will I not deny thee. Likewise, also said all his disciples.
Friends, this is so, so much like us. We don't realize how weak we are, I mean, he had no idea of how weak his flesh was. He thought he was strong enough, he thought he was stronger than he was. And so when Jesus said that they were going to flee from him. Peter's thinking, "I would never do that! I'm stronger than that, I'm better than that." And it's so funny that we can also think that we're strong, in and of ourselves, but it's often when we think we're strongest and we fall.
1:41
The Bible says, "Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall," and that is such a true statement.
The moment we get so so puffed up in our own fleshly mind that we think we're strong enough to do what's right in our own strength is the moment Satan comes along and pushes us over and knocks us down and we realize, I don't have strength in myself, I'm not strong enough, the only way that I can stand is by the strength of the Holy Spirit, and the only way I can stand in the strength of the Holy Spirit is in humble in that humility that he gives us. In humility, we must lower ourselves and fully rely on his strength, not our own realizing that in our flesh dwells no good thing.
And so friend, what can we take from this?
May we stay humble. May you realize that maybe you've had victory in a certain area of your life for a certain amount of time. Don't get puffed up, stay humble realize that the only reason you've had victory for this long is because of the Holy Spirit's grace in your life.
It is the Holy Spirit working these fruits out is not your own strength. In our own flesh there's nothing good. The only good that comes out of my life is Jesus, right? And when it comes to Addison Smith, If you enjoy anything about me I promise you it's not Addison, it's Jesus. Because there's nothing good about Addison. Addison is selfish and mean and that's who Addison is, but praise the Lord Jesus saved me and he can work through me his own fruits, and so friend, may we realize that in ourselves, we're weak, we're wrong we're wicked. But Jesus saved us from that sin and he will bring his strength to bear. As long as we stay humble enough for him to work.
So friend, let us not be like Peter, who thinks we're stronger in and of ourselves, than we really are. May we trust the Holy Spirit and rely on him, moment by moment today to give us the strength we need to do right. Well, I hope you have a great and wonderful day today, and I want to thank our patrons, you guys are the ones who allow this free course to go out really without you, none of these things would be happening and so thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful day, talk to you tomorrow.
