  • Episode 41: Bringing Mindfulness into the classroom with Laia del Barrio

This week I’m joined by the delightful Laia del Barrio.  She presents 5 gorgeous activities to use in your classroom to bring some reflection and well-being to your students in any kind of classroom.  Grab a cup of herbal tea, sit back and breath it in!

This episode uses Laia’s slideshow on Zoom so it’s best to watch on one of the following:

    Youtube @https://youtu.be/wLanL3G6RXA

    IGTV @everything_efl_pod

    Get Laia’s slideshow: https://b43dcd8c-ba49-44ec-83e1-d3fc5882f636.filesusr.com/ugd/f2294c_0eae3889f50c4e49b20d8f52f399b420.pdf

Laia del Barrio became an English teacher in order to give back to society and to contribute to this Earth.  Her classes are dynamic and full of reflection.  Laia has a reputation for making students think about life, about how to become better people, about the world that we live in and relates these activities to grammar and  vocabulary while working on reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Her objective is to make the classroom a place of safety and sharing, free of judgement and full of life and English learning.  Her studies in Life and Executive Coaching have given her tools to implement during her classes.  Laia’s background in the Hospitality industry has taught her to treat each student as a unique guest.
