Welcome to the new podcast!
Personal branding is a hot topic in the world of marketing, social media and entrepreneurship.
Thinking of themselves as a "Brand" or building a brand might even make some people uncomfortable.
With social media being what it is and the public demand for greater transparency and access to the decision makers behind the businesses and brands they support, I prefer to look at "personal brand" as the reputation that you actively and intentionally cultivate rather than letting the world decide for you what that reputation is.
In today's episode we speak with Kelly Millar, a Transformational Branding Expert from London about the importance of personal branding in today's world and why, even as an employee, it's important to think about taking charge of your Personal Brand.
On this week's episode we speak with Justin Nguyen, the 23 year old CEO of GetChoGrindUp.com. GetChoGrindUp is a community dedicated to helping young adults (college and post grad) find success both in school and after. The company hosts events, creates content aimed at inspiring & educating their audience, and has launched two successful podcasts: The GetChoGrindUp Podcast and College De-Classified.
In addition to launching his brand two years ago, Justin is also a LinkedIN coach/consultant, helping individuals and businesses optimize their LinkedIn profiles and marketing tactics.
We had an amazing conversation about the origins of GetChoGrindU and how content creation fueled the company's growth, the current state of LinkedIn and how we think the COVID-19 Pandemic is going to affect higher education and the world at large.
On this week's episode we speak with Peter Lopez, a book publisher, podcaster, coach and consultant with a 25 year track record in sales and strategic partnerships.
This is one of the best conversations we've had since starting this show and covered a number of topics including how to self-publish your first book, the evolution of modern media, YouTube and what moves entrepreneurs should be thinking about during the current COVID-19 crisis.
We had a blast and hope you'll enjoy the conversation as much as we did.
On this week's episode we interview Miriam Gilmore, a mortgage lender, podcast host and entrepreneur who's been on the grind since she was 21 years old.
After years of success in the title insurance business, Miriam's world began to change when the mortgage crisis of 2006-2008 completely disrupted her industry. In this in depth conversation she describes how she was able to re-invent herself multiple times and launched her new venture as a mortgage broker last year.
Over her 26 year career she's seen and done a lot and it's our hope that you'll benefit from her experience.
On this week's episode we interview Michelle Welch, a serial entrepreneur and business coach from Orlando, FL who has been quietly building an empire for the last 3 years.
As a single mother of two boys, Michelle is no stranger to hard work. She started out as a solopreneur with a vision and $200 of cleaning supplies, growing from a single service based startup to multiple businesses and partnerships by leveraging her previous corporate experience and the power of social media marketing.
She's been through a lot and learned a lot and was gracious enough to share some of the lessons she's learned with our audience. Tune in to hear the Queen of Clean explain how she started and scaled her business.
On this week's episode we interview Ebone Cruz, a business coach and Youtuber from Tampa, FL who has been in business for the last ten years.
As a single mother, entrepreneur and full time employee of the city of Tampa, Ebone has her hands full, but manages it all with style. We sat down after a recent "Video For Business" workshop to and dug deep speaking about how she's used Youtube and Facebook to help grow her business, the process of rebuilding her life after divorce and much more.
She's an amazing lady and I sincerely hope you can take some inspiration from her story.
On this week's episode we interview Connor Smith, audio engineer / entrepreneur and founder of Studio 18, an Orlando based recording studio where the mantra is "Community is King".
Connor has been making an indelible mark on the Orlando music community for 10+ years and has faced more than his fair share of ups and downs. In this interview we talk about the biggest lessons he's learned, struggles with leadership, work/life balance and much much more. You also learn a little bit more about our host, Alex Minor.
On this episode I interview, Diana Gladney, a videographer, Youtuber and business coach from St. Louis, MO.
She left a full time corporate job in 2019 to launch her video editing service, VisualDee Creative, and has seen rapid growth. Diana is also a talented content creator and hosts "EntreWomanTV" (her Youtube Channel) as well as "Video Simplified" (her podcast) for those seeking advice on using video for business.
In our interview we cover a lot of ground including balancing a full time job and side hustles, finding mentors, how to maintain multiple streams of income, content & email marketing and much, much more. She has a wealth of knowledge and we hope you get as much out of the conversation as we did.
