EVERYTHING I’VE HEARD Presents BILLY BOGUS as 4th guest mix.

-

Billy (real name Niccolò Bruni), Pizzico Records' founder, started as a DJ in the mid 90s when he was only 18: he was a squatter and he used to arrange unusual performances with endless rotation of FSOL & Klaus Schulze music, filming everybody with a VHS camera and broadcasting everything in the community, creating peculiar vibes and feelings all around.

Today his approach to DJing has the same feeling, also with contemporary dance music. Rare vinyls, mp3s, scratchy CDs, the format doesn’t matter, the central themes are what is important to him: italo disco, slow motion funk, trippy techno, every kind of dance music is like a magic mean to a shiny groove and he aims to spread this energy among the people via his own label, Pizzico. Pizzico was founded in 2007, among the others they have discovered and produced artists such as Jonathan Kusuma (Space System), Ichisan, Discodromo, Kid Who, Sare Havlicek, MA Spaventi and many more.

After remixing the legendary band The Units and Dennis Young from Liquid Liquid, Billy’s career as a producer began to grow steadily: singles, remixes, three official albums and a jazzy under the moniker of Strata-Gemma.

The word about his work was on everyone's lips, including household names like Laurent Garnier and Dimitri From Paris. His tracks have been regularly played by disco legends like Dj Harvey, Stevie Kotey, Gilles Peterson, Ivan Smagghe and Bill Brewster.

EVERYTHING I’VE HEARD Presents FSQ as 3rd guest mix

FSQ is a 6 person production team and DJ unit, devoted to the enjoyment of warm summers and the sounds that align with such strong solar vibes.

This one hour and twelve minute mix by Funk Style Quality aka FSQ is just long enough to get you from Bologna to Marina Di Ravenna beach by car. We selected these tunes specifically to put us in the mindset of such a quick Italian auto jaunt to the Adriatic sea.

Some of the jams in the mix are from FSQ's upcoming album with Soul Clap Records, titled "Reprise Tonight" plus Wolf+Lamb's Jack Priest offers a new remix of our latest FSQ production, "I Zimbra" a Talking Heads cover featuring Dolette McDonald. FSQ's "Bologona to Marina Di Ravenna" mix features summer stunners by our Soul Clap Records label mates Underground System, and we have a new Caribbean disco inspired FSQ remix for our label boss, Mr Lonely C of Soul Clap. Fresh cinematic instrumentals by the likes of Dan Only, Xinobi, Luces, G Mawkus, Franc Spangler, Christian Martin and more power the majority of this mix which is more like a film soundtrack than a live club set. Sit back with a fresh ear, listen close to FSQ's "Bologna to Marina Di Ravenna" mix and feel the lust we have for the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Italian summers as expressed through brilliant sounds.
