This episode is a little bit of a different format. There are some statistics and some science involved, but it is mostly a PSA about how this can happen to anyone. An average of 37 children die every year by being left in a car by accident, and 55% of the parents involved swear they thought they did not have the child in the car. It happens to bad parents, but it happens to great parents too. It can happen to all of us because of how our brains are wired and prone to going on autopilot.

Please, please, please take this seriously and have a listen. Additionally, I implore you to check out the products and organizations below. There are also a couple of stories of people who you'd never think this kind of thing would happen to (including a family nurse practitioner).
