The first season takes a left turn as the X-Men go underground to fight some horny mutant hobos, then Wolverine heads north to hang with some natives while Sabretooth throws giant snowballs at him cuz he's a dick. Let's dig into "Captive Hearts" and "Cold Vengeance"!
The first season marches on as a mutant from Professor X's past returns, and his powers and philosophy may be more than the X-Men can handle. Meanwhile Beast's trial is cut short when another feral mutant tears up the place, and he reminds everyone of Wolverine. Everyone that is, except Wolverine. Let's crack open "Enter Magneto" and "Deadly Reunions."
Welcome to the inaugural episode of our new series 'Evil Clones Watch X-Men' where we take a snark-filled deep-dive into the 1992 X-Men Animated Series. This week it's all about the show's celebrated two-part pilot, "Night of the Sentinels." In a world where super-powered people are turning up everywhere, the government decides the best way to fight them is with skyscraper-sized robots that shoot lasers and stomp through public spaces, causing far more damage than anything they're likely to catch.
Justin Kemmling (@justinkemmling) joins us via Zoom to escort us into the world of Hollywood circa 1948 by way of 1988, where Bob Hoskins must join forces with a cartoon rabbit and an impossibly buxom bombshell to solve a murder and save Toon Town from the evil Judge Doom! And every cartoon character who ever existed puts in an appearance! It's WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT!

Welcome back to the History Box Binge, where Kevin & Doug take a tour through the centuries with the help of the best historical dramas on TV.
This episode we look at two contrasting angles of the legendary Caesar and Cleopatra. The docu-drama series 'Roman Empire' returns with another season, this time showing the highlights Julius Caesar. But the main event takes us back to 1963 where the Hollywood was taken over by Joseph L. Mankiewicz' super-size version of Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor. We look at the first half of that film and see how it overlaps with the newer, less bombastic Netflix version.
Next week we cover the other half of the Cleopatra movie, along with the exhaustive documentary about the film's making (and near unmaking), "Cleopatra: The Film that Changed Hollywood."

Netflix made a new history-doc series when you weren't looking, covering the lives of Ancient Rome's big guns. You may know Emperor Commodus from Ridley Scott's mostly made-up Oscar darling 'Gladiator' thanks to Joaquin Phoenix's scenery-chewing portrayal. Here he gets the spotlight as a gang of actors and history professors utilize a shoe-string budget to give you the real-ish story of Rome's legendary mad ruler.
