  • Exodus 4A
This sermon examines Exodus 4 to illustrate God's sovereignty and the necessity of immediate obedience to His call. The preacher analyzes Moses' objections, highlighting how God provides miraculous signs like the serpent and leprosy to demonstrate His authority over fear, disease, and political power. The message emphasizes that human weakness does not disqualify one from service, as God equips those He chooses. It warns against using excuses to avoid responsibility, noting that disobedience leads to lost privileges and divine correction. Ultimately, the text points to Jesus Christ as the perfect fulfillment of God's redemptive plan, urging believers to surrender their ordinary resources to His extraordinary use.

  • Compromise and Catastrophe
In Genesis chapter 19, we see a detailed account of Lot. It would be tempting for many people to feel superior to him because of his obvious compromises with the world around him, yet Peter describes him as a righteous man three times in 2 Peter 2:7-8! How can we account for this? He certainly doesn't deserve to be considered righteous, but that is the point; he was righteous by faith, he did not earn it by his actions, so he is righteous in the same way that we are considered righteous because of our trust in Christ. He is an object lesson in the difficulty experienced by those who want to have what the world offers and have God as well - he barely escaped God's wrath and lost everything he had accumulated in Sodom. We are warned by his errors and compromises to live as a sojourner in this world, not too attached to the positions, prestige and possessions of our culture, looking instead to the eternal city that our Lord is building for us, and serving Him with a whole heart.

  • Creation's Longing and the Christian's Hope
This week's message from Romans 8:18–25 reminds us that the story of the Bible is one of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. God created the world and declared it good, but sin brought the curse of death and corruption upon all creation. The good news of the gospel is not that we escape the material world, but that God will redeem it. Because Christ has been raised from the dead, all who belong to Him will one day be raised in glorified bodies, and creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay. Whatever suffering we experience today is temporary and cannot compare with the glory God has promised His people. "The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." — Romans 8:18

  • His Name Is Jealous Outreach
The sermon explores the theological concept of God's jealousy, defining it not as petty envy but as a holy demand for exclusive worship due to His unique nature and sovereignty. Tracing the narrative from creation through the fall and into the Old Testament laws, the message highlights how human sin broke the perfect order of worship and introduced idolatry in various forms. It warns that any priority placed above God constitutes treason against His holiness, illustrating the severity of misplaced devotion through biblical examples and modern analogies. The central argument asserts that Jesus Christ is the only means of restoration, having atoned for sin to enable believers to offer true worship again. Ultimately, the text calls listeners to repentance and faith in Christ, emphasizing that eternal life depends on redirecting all affection and allegiance solely to God.

  • Hebrews 8:1-6 - "An Earthly Copy"
Jesus is no longer a pilgrim on His way. The cross is no longer in front of Him. He has no more trials, no more foes, no more work left to be done. He has arrived at His appointed destination, and ministers from there on your behalf. Jesus is before the Father, at the true tabernacle where God Himself dwells, and is committed to brining us near to God through His superior ministry. He is the more excellent priest of a more excellent covenant, and He will not fail to bring every one of His brothers and sisters safely home.

  • The Supremacy of Christ | Colossians 4:7-18
Pastor Caleb Farrow concluded our study of Colossians by reminding us that the entire letter points to one central truth: the supremacy of Christ. Walking through the letter, we were reminded that Christ is supreme over creation, suffering, spiritual powers, and every area of our lives. Because Jesus is sufficient for our salvation and Lord over all, our identity, relationships, work, and witness are transformed as we fix our eyes on Him and live in faithful obedience for His glory.
