Once again we open the lines to the independent wrestling scene, namely in the Chicago suburbs. A few weeks ago we had our long time friend PL Myers and several members of the POWW roster on to talk about WrestleRage. Well the countdown clock is ticking down with arund 72 hours left before their annual big event. PL joins us again tonight and he is scheduled to be joined by Joey Roth, ICONS Of The Illinois Valley manager C. Red and Cognito Jones. As always, live guests are subject to change due to outside situtaions, but PL will most definately be there.

Our second hour will focus on the still controversial situation regarding the grounded WWE charter plane that occurred after the latest Crown Jewel event, forcing WWE to have NXT talent "invade" Friday SmackDown last week. Well a few days later our good friend Hugo Savinovich, who still maintains contacts in WWE in addition to his work with AAA Lucha Libre and other companies, broke a story that stated that it was NOT "mechanical problems" that grounded the plane. We will talk to Hugo about the accusations against many people involved in the flight, as well as communications that are coming out from talent who were directly affected, as well as the talent meeting that was said to have occurred Monday night before RAW.

Tonight will be loaded of fun and controversy, so strap in, because just like a plane going into turbulance, this is going to be a bumpy ride..

Several WWE stars will not make it to tonight's Friday Night SmackDown on Fox due to plane issues in Saudi Arabia. 

There is a lot of turmoil right now in Ring Of Honor as a veteran performer who was working as a producer for the company has been let go and it is causing a big rift within the locker room. 

A sheet writer has actually been tabbed to be one of the people involved with "WWE Backstage" on FS1. WWE has also experienced a drastic drop in  income recently which is causing concern and may be based on a fan exodus that started after the disappointment that was Hell In A Cell.

All of these issues and MORE will be discussed TONIGHT.

Tonight the boys are left to their own devices (God help us) while Katie terrorizes Toronto in whatever costume she has chosen this year. Tonight we also get to do our first ever same night review of the latest event in the Crown Jewel series from Saudi Arabia. In addition to the shocking finish to the main event the first ever women's match was held along with a few other surprise moments.

Of course this week couldn't go without controversy and there was plenty provided. On the Illinois scene a wrestler was stripped of a title and the circumstances behind it seem less than legit. On the national stage former ROH talent ACH, now known as Jordan Myles in NXT crested s firestorm of controversy. Not only did he cause an uproar on Twitter about a shirt design, he used a particularly nasty slur against one of his former ROH coworkers. 

AEW crowned its first tag team champions and a legendary team was attacked prior to the match. NXT saw the return of Kairi Sane and Asuka as the Womens Tag Champs brought their titles for a defense and when it was all over a major announcement was made regarding their next pay per view event. AAA also held an event that was televised live on Twitch and it saw what looks to be the absolute finish for one of their most popular tag teams.

RIng Of Honor announced a big change in previously announced upcoming dates as well as a new overseas TV deal. New Japan announced their latest expansion and a breakdown of where they will tour and how many dates will be in each area. Impact Wrestling also made their debut on AXS TV and they did it with a major title change.

Saturday and Sunday provided two major wrestling events, Impact Wrestling's "Bound For Glory" and AAA Lucha Libre's "Heroes Imortales XIII". Both shows had some big surprises, one of which was announced after the event, and while we will discuss BFG on our own we will bring in some top notch help to talk about HI, with our good friend AAA commentator Hugo Savinovich.

A lot of things occurred in the Twitterverse, with Seth Rollins once again jumping on the keyboard to attack AEW talent, Randy Orton making a tease as the details of the end point of his contract come into focus and in an "Is it a work or is it a shoot?" moment Sonya DeVille and Lacey Evans tear into one another viciously.

WWE 2K20 has also been trending on Twitter, but not for good reasons. In fact, refunds are already being offered to some buyers and a WWE Hall Of Fame member has taken to Twitter to promise to make things right for fans.

The WWE On Fox account also took some heat in the past week for a now deleted tweet that seemed to chide WWE fans for one of their favorite passtimes during a WWE TV broadcast. 

Impact has made an offer to two AEW executives, we'll tell you who they approached and what the offer is for.

This has been quite a unique week in the wrestling business. As the WWE was conducting it's "draft" there were stars asking for their releases. Meanwhile, AEW continues to be THE force to reckon with in the wrestling business while NXT continues what appears to be a downward spiral.

In this episode Steve discusses who is coming and going from which promotions, who is getting pulled from events and so much more. After a two week hiatus, The Dean is back and loaded for bear.

It's been a while since we have presented a W.A.R. episode, especially one that has focused on an upcoming event but tonight we are pleased to present stars from suburban Chicago independent promotion POWW Entertainment. Their big event, WrestleRage 17 is set to occur November 9 in Addison. Tonight's guests are all involved in matches at the event.  We were scheduled to have POWW founder Jimmy Blaze but he can not be with us due to other obligations. Sunday night Hell In A Cell laid an egg bigger than the one the Gobbledygooker was in. This caused not only criticism, including live on a WWE program by a Hall Of Famer, but a number of hashtags, including #CancelWWENetwork to trend on Twitter through Sunday night, as well as part of Monday. Now WWE was on the hook to make up for it with a pre draft episode of RAW that would be off the charts. Meanwhile, down in Jacksonville, AEW were esentially handed a gift in that they were going to get eyes on them this week they didn't have the week before as disgusted WWE fans, if social media is accurate, were going to give the upstarts a shot to prove their worthiness.Meanwhile, on Facebook Live and YouTube, the oldest name in the wrestling universe, the NWA, was about to deliver it's new version of an old concept, the studio wrestling show, to a viewing audience that was most likely too young to know when the letters NWA meant something in the wrestling business.

Tonight we will also discuss the art of the promo. As all of you are probably aware, due to leaked scripts, some of which we have posted. WWE programming is entirely written out, including the wrestler's promos. However, there are NO scripted promos on Powerrr or Dynamite, and we're going to relive Chris Jericho introducing Inner Circle, and the promo NWA World Champion Nick Aldis cut to start Powerrr. We will also discuss the elements necessary to cut a good promo, as Sean and Steve are both very knowledgeable in the art of cutting a promo.

We will also discuss the upcoming draft, who might be going where and who and how the draft may go down. Luke Harper seems to letting his disgust with WWE show, Britt Baker gets a new reminder she was in the ring with Bea Priestly.Two major names are apparently leaving New Japan, and MORE will be discussed with Katie, Steve and Sean - TONIGHT!

This is part radio show, part experiment. After BlogTalk's screw ups this week, one of which cost us an entire episode, Steve is bringing his solo project to BTR for one night to see if the problems have been corrected.

IF this all works out, Steve will talk about this week in wrestling, RAW, AEW Dynamite, NXT & SmackDown.

Six years ago Gabe Hubbard had a dream. He wanted to create a program about wrestling with news and interviews with people involved in the industry. While the name has changed a bit along with some of the hosts, the idea, now called Wrestling Authority Radio, has remained the same.

Tonight ends an era, at least for now when SmackDown Live does its last broadcast, for the time being, on USA. Now WWE's history with shows that left USA has not been the best, will this time be different? This is a subject that will probably be up for discussion.

Now with next week's "season premier" of RAW on USA and SmackDown Live's actual premier on Fox there may some butting of heads between WWE management, USA management and FOX management as someone who is going to be on the first episode of SDL will be on RAW a few days prior and FOX is wanting a current RAW star to be brought to SDL. Meanwhile, two of the biggest female stars of the current era both look like they are calling it a career, one by choice, one due to injury, but it looks like her post in ring career may already be chosen for her.

Three legendary stars are currently in the hospital and Chris Jericho has done something for one of those legends. Rey Mysterio referred back to one of the biggest angles of his career on social media, and a female WWE performer staged an outside "confrontation" for her social media account and is getting a lot of backlash for it.
