  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio-WrestleMania Pre Show Pre Show
We always jokingly say that WrestleMania is so long that the pre show starts right after SmackDown Live goes off the air. Now of course that wouldn't be smart, considering that WWE was already competing against itself as "205 Live" was running on WWE Network at the same time the second season of "Miz & Mrs" premiered on USA Network. I guess Vince figures if people are watching something WWE, even if it watching one causes the other to lose viewers, it's OK.
Tonight NXT presents its go home show prior to TakeOver New York. While the matches are all known, you have to wonder if there will be some surprises tonight that will make what is always a must watch event even stronger.
AEW is certainly making sure their name stays in the conversation with three new hires in the non wrestling area, including two former WWE personalities, one we had talked about last night which was made official today. There is also a new mini series about some of the less glamorous side of wrestling. There are several stories that have had "official" versions that have been told, but now, they are being told by people on the inside who aren't afraid to tell the truth.
All of these stories and more, including news about the possible long awaited debut of a former NXT star...TONIGHT

  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio
Our good friend, promoter Tina Gant will be joining us again. We don't know who she might bring on with her but she is always fun to talk to and has a lot of opinions about wrestling. She is very knowledgeable and we appreciate her sharing that knowledge with our listeners.
In other news, is Alexa Bliss trying to do a Carmella in terms of changing her look in order to cultivate positive fan reaction? Can't get to the NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard? Don't worry, there will be a way to see it. Canadian TV premiers a documentary about former New Japan and current AEW star Kenny Omega. We also find out about if he could have done the G1 Supercard.
If you wonder where ring announcer JoJo Offerman has been well she has just announced some big news, and if the rumors are true, this news involves another WWE star. The reaction to last night's shocking title match and change on SmackDown live is being met with the same reaction the announcement of Kurt Angle's final opponent has been. The thing is, it seems like this has been just like a lot of the other things that have been happening on WWE television, and you'd be right.
Speaking of being upset about a match, someone's unhappy about Kofi Kingston getting a shot at Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. We'll discuss all of these things and whatever else comes to mind, TONIGHT!

  • ERN Presents Rampage Rants-Tuesday Night Turmoil
We're a couple of weeks away from WrestleMania and the tribute to one of the biggest stars of all of wrestling and turned it into a joke! Speaking of jokes, Eric Bischoff continues to be a joke as a recent Twitter war with Jim Cornette shows that the man who bankrupted WCW actually believes Cornette's gimmick is real!
WrestleMania week is providing quite a number of wrestling and meet and greet events. We have already talked about the ROH/NJPW meet and greet but we have a listing of the non WWE events. Some of it is good, some of it could actually be used in our "Craptastic Wrestling" ad!
As far as the WrestleMania main event goes a certain wrestler gets live entrance music (get ready Katie). A former WWE manager has made a return to the business and he is managing the nephew of the man he managed during his time in WWE. Another WWE star loses part of his name, a UFC star is set to appear at AAA's Triplemania XXVII, someone besides Corey Graves has a thing for Mandy Rose, but it isn't mutual, Joey Ryan makes an announcement, Tommy Dreamer gets a video game and MORE! Join Katie, Steve and Sean TONIGHT!

  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio-Tracy Smothers
Thanks go out to our good friend Tina Gant who got Tracy back on for us.
There are certain names that remind wrestling fans of certain territories or promotions. When it comes to wrestling in the South, the name of Tracy Smothers, much like his contemporaries Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer, Ole and Arn Anderson, makes you think of a time when cable TV was young and wrestling fans were being exposed to wrestling in different areas of the country and certain regional promotions started to go national.
Tracy is probably best known to fans as one half of The Wild Eyed Southern Boys with Steve Armstrong. Tracy and Steve wrestled in various promotions throughout the South. Tracy also was the inaugural Smoky Mountain Wrestling Beat The Champ Television Champion and was part of the faction called The THUGS. After a short sint in the then WWF Tracy moved to Paul Heyman's ECW where he became the leader of The Full Blooded Italians, with the joke being that only one member of the team, Little Guido was in fact actually Italian.
Tracy has also run several wrestling schools where he trains and guides the next generation of the business. We are happy to bring Tracy back to our airwaves and hope you will enjoy hearing from this great star.

  • ERN Presents Rampage Rants-Tuesday Night Turmoil
We don't like to body shame but we have to ask, what is up with Dana Brooke's mouth? It looks like she had plates put in to make it look like a duck's bill! Maybe that's why Ronda Rousey messed her up so bad and then went after the security guys, including some RWF talent.
Now we know tonight is Kofi Kingston's "Trial By Fire" to see if he can "earn" his spot at WrestleMania. Now we know it's not going to take up the entire two hours as we found out last night the Women's Tag Team Champions, Sasha Banks and Bailey, will be appearing, most likely to take on The Iconics. Miz is slated to address Shane McMahon and there will probably be more brawling between Charlotte and Becky, with the only question being will Ronda make another appearance after last night's obliteration of Dana Brooke, another referee and a security guy, thanks to Ronda's husband Travis Browne.
The tag match slated for AEW's first official pay per view, Double Or Nothing, now has a potential added element thanks to a new championship The Young Bucks aquired. On the ROH/NJPW front, they have announced the meet and greets for the week of their joint Madison Square Garden card, and it is loaded. There's also word that one of their top female stars' contracts is ending soon. Will she stay or will she go, and if she does, where will she go?
All this, plus some horrible word about a wrestler who apparantly was deliberately injured under orders from another promoter, TONIGHT!

  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio Featuring Randy Hales
In the territory days of wrestling there were certain areas of the country that stood out for the quality of performers and stories that had almost mythical standings among fans, even if they could not see them in the pre cable TV era. Because PWI was based out of Pennsylvania, the then WWWF automatically took a large part of the coverage. But fans were also aware of the AWA in the Midwest, Sam Munchnick in St. Louis with Harley Race, Paul Boesch in Houston with the Funk Brothers, and Memphis, home of Jerry "The King" Lawler.
When you talk about Memphis, you obviously talk about Lawler. You also, however, discuss names such as Bill Dundee, Austin Idol, Lanny Poffo and his brother "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and many others. One of the most consistent names in that situation is Randy Hales. Randy has been a fixture for decades in the Memphis region. He has served as commentator, manager, promoter and booker throughout his years in the business. He has a load of stories about the Memphis scene and how many of the legendary guys you see now get their start in the Memphis territroy.
We are honored to have a man of Randy's stature joining us tonight and we hope you will enjoy the variety of stories he has to share.

  • ERN Presents Rampage Rants-Tuesday Night Turmoil
Did Conrad Thompson and Tony Khan slip Bruce Pritchard back into WWE as a confederate in order to screw things up for Vince McMahon? One has to wonder considering recent WWE programming, including Sunday night's almost meanningless pay per view, FastLane.
Is WWE going to be losing more talent? There are some hot rumors concerning two stars you haven't seen much of in a while. At the same time WWE has signed three new talents, one of whom is a second generation talent, the son of an 80s WWE talent.
Yes, there actually WAS a point behind Braun Strowman destroying another car last night. The thing is, it's probably NOT the point that you think it is. WWE has also announced ANOTHER corporate partnership.
The Hall Of Fame ceremony this year will have differences, including the host for the event. Jerry Lawler is OUT, wait until you hear who may be IN.
In New Japan, a new Bullet Club member emerges, meanwhile, one of the legends, not just of Japanese wrestling, but wrestling in general, is revealing he is going to hang up the tights.
The Jim Ross rumor mill is grinding away as the WWE Hall Of Fame member's contract is set to expire in slightly over two weeks.
We will discuss all these things and MORE right after SmackDown Live TONIGHT!

  • ERN Presents W.A.R. Wrestling Authority Radio-The Rock & Roll Express
We are grateful to our good friend Tina Gant for making tonight's show possible.
The Rock 'n' Roll Express were the epitome of tag team wrestling in the heyday of tag teams in the 80s. With their signature tights adorned with scarves to thier double dropkick finisher, the duo, created by Jerry Lawler, became one of the biggest attractions in the entire professional wrestling industry.
From Memphis to Mid South, Jim Crockett Promotions to Smoky Mountain and beyond, Ricky & Robert captured the hearts and imaginations of the wrestling public. Their matinee idol looks along with their in ring talent made them in demand all over the world.
We are going to have Ricky Morton with us, hopefully Robert will be joining us as well. This will be an opportunity to learn the art of wrestling by one of the foremost purveyors of the art. We hope you will enjoy it.
