In the first half of the twentieth century Heidegger developed a ground braking perspective on human potential by rising beyond the customs and norms that we are generally absorbed in. They pushed beyond the boundaries of convention using words like merging, flowing, sinking, melting, longing, nakedness, tenderness, and desire to describe their God Experience. These mystics were alive to the passionate and erotic nature of the Divine that they experienced in the depths of prayer and their inner lives. Yet, many of these mystics kept a lid on the energy and aliveness of Divine Eros precisely by confining it to their interior worlds. What if we took this further?
