In Todays Episode We Have Daniel G Lee of Windura Inc. Andy Talks With Daniel about how he bought an existing business and walked away from the corporate ways.  
 

Over the last 17 years, Daniel has spent his career in a broad range of roles in corporate America. He worked at two of the most well-known insurance companies both in front line roles working directly with customers in their homes and in senior-level management and director positions. 

In 2019 Daniel chose to pursue the path of business ownership, and after 18 months of intense research, focus, and pursuit, he found Windura. He was immediately interested in the company because of their commitment to doing the right thing for their customers. 

Daniel has spent most of his career working to deliver on the promise of an insurance policy and Windura offers a similar opportunity. Inspired by the consultative sales process and the on-staff installation team who are dedicated to quality every time, Daniel purchased the company in 2020.

Daniel lives in Lee’s Summit, MO with his wife Bonnie, their two boys, and Mack, their labradoodle. As a family, they love to enjoy everything Kansas City has to offer including the great parks, sports, and restaurants. Daniel loves to read and play golf.

On today's episode of Resourceful Agent Radio Show, Dave Foster and Andy Silvius talk about everything Real Estate Investing and how to use 1031 Exchanges to your benefit to create more wealth and pay less in taxes.

Dave Foster, Founder and CEO of The 1031 Investor.  Dave is a degreed accountant and serial real estate investor who is a qualified intermediary and consultant for tax saving strategies such as the 1031 exchange and the section 121 homestead exemption. 

Dave started fix and flipping in the 90s and realized that about 40% of his profits were going directly to the IRS. Dave tells us about the updated rules and regulations around using the1031 exchange to legally compound your tax interest that will stay with you instead of going straight to the government. 

Dave breaks down exactly how to use the 1031 exchange in layman’s terms. He explains to us how he moved his way from Denver, CO to Tampa, FL over 10 years using the section 121 homestead exemption, so that he and his family could move onto a boat (which was a huge dream of his).

Alex started his first business at the age of 10. He began selling used golf-balls in his neighborhood and realized that he really enjoyed generating sales and keeping track of a profit. 

Fast forward a number of years and Alex began investing in real estate and also started and sold a tech company in that space. (Creating virtual tours of homes)

From there he went into aerospace and worked his way up from a part time employee all the way to a senior executive in a large publicly traded organization.
