    EWTN

On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: President Joe Biden has acknowledged higher prices are squeezing family budgets and he admits there's more work to do. This comes as Republicans blast the latest numbers showing consumer prices jumped 7% in December compared to just one year earlier. President Biden also gave full support for passing voting rights legislation and reprimanded state lawmakers, saying Republican-supported election integrity laws were Jim Crow 2.0. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell called out President Biden for stoking division. Senior Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation, Hans Von Spakovsky, joins to explain whether Senator McConnell is right. With the House and Senate both back, work has intensified on economic issues and voting rights reform. Meanwhile, 2 organizations within the Vatican recently issued a document saying there is a moral responsibility to take a coronavirus vaccine. Pope Francis also has weighed in on the vaccine among other topics. Rome Correspondent, Colm Flynn, joins to tell us what the Pope has been saying recently at the Vatican. Finally this evening, the now infamous letter from the National School Boards Association comparing concerned parents to domestic terrorists was apparently solicited by Education Secretary Miguel Cardona. Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Boston, Thomas Carroll, joins to share his thoughts on the new revelation.

    EWTN
