On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: In Wisconsin, the Trump-endorsed candidate for governor won the primary election. Businessman Tim Michels defeated former Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. Washington Editor at the Spectator, Amber Athey, joins to talk more about this win for the Trump-backed candidate and whether she was surprised to see him come out on top. Starting August 15th, in response to rising threats of violence, the House Sergeant at Arms will give lawmakers money to install and maintain security equipment at their personal homes. Meanwhile, in front of a packed White House East Room filled with military families, survivors and congressional lawmakers, President Joe Biden signed into law the PACT Act. And as students are getting ready to head back to school, the CDC is expected to announce new COVID guidelines. Former US Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, joins to talk more about these possible updates and whether she thinks these guidelines are a step in the right direction. Finally this evening, leaders from the Anglican faith recently gathered in England to discuss Church and world affairs. Among those invited to participate was a group from the Vatican. Italian journalist, Silvia Guzzetti, joins to explain whether it is unusual for the Vatican to send a delegation and whether the subject of Catholic-Anglican relations came up at all during the conference.
