On "EWTN News Nightly" Tonight: Ursula Murua, Director of Digital Strategy and Social Media for EWTN News, joins us to discuss how the Faithful are reacting to the first few days of The World Meeting of Families 2022 (WMOF22) online, her experience seeing people all over the world attend WMOF22, and how people can follow the event online. More at WMOF 22, EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief Andreas Thonhuaser also had the opportunity to interview Blythe Kaufman, who is the founder of an international prayer movement for kids called The Children's Rosary, and her son. At the White House, The Biden Administration announces new proposals to change Title IX which would clarify that the law applies to discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity as well, White House Correspondent Owen Jensen reports. More on these proposed changes is Sarah Parshall Perry, senior legal fellow at the Edwin Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, who discusses how this proposal might restrict or interfere with religious freedom, the next steps in this proposed legislation, and more. At Capitol Hill, more than a dozen Senate Republicans joined a largely Democrat effort to advance a gun control bill a mere two hours after the text of the bill circulated. While the measure is likely to pass later this week, there is some opposition from members of the House Second Amendment Caucus. Capitol Hill Correspondent Erik Rosales reports.
